To be very honest he did a great job, capturing Randy's sound, less style, and really filled the void extremely well considering the immense pressure he must have been under and huge boots to fill. Berne certainly had his own style and continued to be a great guitarist up until his passing on the 18th March, a day before the anniversary of Randy's death. Sad times for rock and heavy metal fans, but it's great to hear these somewhat almost 40-year-old recordings, that really should be documented in a Rock/Metal hall of fame. Berne and Randy - RIP.
